Jim Pitman is honored for 60 Years of Service to The Wentzville Rotary Club.
The Wentzville Rotary Club was chartered on October 11, 1943, with 19 members. Today the club boasts about 70 members and a proud record of community service projects that includes leading the community effort to purchase Rotary Park, the site of the annual St. Charles County Fair.
The club serves the westernmost part of St. Charles County, Missouri, and includes the communities of Wentzville, Lake St. Louis, Flint Hill, and Foristell. The club belongs to District 6060. The District runs along the eastern border of Missouri from Hannibal in the north down to the southern “Boot Heel.” The District contains 55 Rotary Clubs and some 3,000 Rotarians.
The Wentzville Club proudly boasts of Past District Governor Tom Gooch, who served in the 1999-2000 term, and an Assistant Governor, Robert Smith. The club also has several other Past Assistant Governors.
